We all have BIG dreams that we yearn for which are like clouds – they’re without form or substance, yet we long for the meaning and legacy that they might bring us.
Those BIG dreams tend to be elusive, and yet so often we want to pop them out!
But dreams are not like popcorn. You can’t put your request in the microwave, and minutes later have your perfect dream as you imagined pop out!
When you have you mind set on a big dream it will motivate you to do great things and grow into a better person. However, the dream will be revealed to you when its time and you’re ripe for that realization. I have seen it personally and professionally; you can’t get your dream on demand like TV shows.
But you can start by getting clarity on your dreams first. Gaining clarity in your vision is critical in the Discovery phase of the DARE to FLY process and it will allow you to enjoy the path to your BIG dream even more.
Asking the right questions for self-reflection takes time, patience, perseverance and self-trust. Questions like: what do I really want? Who do I want to become? What relationships do I want to be in? What do I want to learn? How do I want to spend my time? How much money do I want to make? And so many others.
You are reaching within for answers that have been hidden below the surface until now.
These questions, and their answers, will bring you everyday “success.” My working definition of success is “the progressive realization of meaningful goals.” Knowing the answers and then taking action to live the answers will move you toward being in a position of personal power, financial security, confidence and leadership presence.
I strongly recommend having a coach or advisor to review and guide you through fleshing out your daily life’s dream more thoroughly. That’s where you’ll get some clarity about the BIG future you envision. It may not reveal the “ultimate dream” that you’re seeking, but will set you up for the daily life that will prepare you for that unfolding…and living the “dream life” day in and day out.
If you’re not clear on the specifics of the BIG dream, describe the feelings and experiences you desire. When you begin to claim them, you’ll not only seek them out but they will find you! But it’s my belief that you can’t skip over the “laying the foundation” step, namely cultivating a winning workstyle and putting in the work for a fulfilling and meaningful life and career.
Then when the BIG dream is revealed, you are not only ready, but will be running on a sustained sense of daily fulfillment. You will be catapulted forward because the time is right and the universe is conspiring to support you in manifesting it! And your dream will not be puffed up air, but rather firmly grounded in the heart of a courageous dreamer!
Are you committed to your BIG dream? Then close the microwave and enjoy the journey towards your dreams.
